OCAD et al v. Donald Trump, DHS, ICE et al (Chicago Raids)

Organized Communities Against Deportation (OCAD), Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR), Brighton Park Neighborhood Council (BPNC), and Raise the Floor Alliance filed an emergency lawsuit against the Trump administration’s plans to carry out raids in Chicago, the city at the epicenter of the Sanctuary Movement. Groups are represented by JFL, Community Justice and Civil Rights Clinic of Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, and MK Law.

Update: On January 25, 2025 the Plaintiffs withdrew their request for an emergency hearing, and on February 26, the Plaintiffs voluntarily dismissed the lawsuit without prejudice. On March 28, 2025 the groups filed an amicus in USA v. Illinois.
