ACLU Northern Cal v ICE
Back in 2020, Just Futures Law, Mijente, Immigrant Defense Project, and ACLU Northern California filed a Freedom of Information Act request to demand information related to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)’s past and present use of Clearview AI’s facial recognition technology. From our findings, we’ve compiled a factsheet that looks at the most concerning revelations we received regarding their partnership, including lack of oversight and internal concerns about the facial recognition company.
