Biometric Surveillance

The use of technology and the willing participation of companies like Palantir, Amazon Web Services, Northrop Grumman, Microsoft, Salesforce, and many others, isn’t limited to feeding the detention and deportation machinery but also to policing and military operations, endangering the safety and security of communities. These companies are helping the government create dangerous biometrics databases to monitor our community.

We’ve worked with partners like Mijente, Immigrant Defense Project, and others to uncovered the deep webs private companies are threading for lucrative contracts, invasive technologies at the local, federal, and international levels, and a revolving door of tech and policing. Biometric databases like HART and EDDIE are at the fueled by private interests and leading to invasive and dangerous surveillance database keeping tabs on all of us, but particularly BIPOC communities.
